Training Visits
Training Services
Like proper nutrition and veterinary care, teaching your dog
acceptable behavior is an essential element of responsible dog
ownership. Training your dog will open up an important line of
communication for the two of you. It will teach your dog to be
obedient in a way that he or she will easily understand --- in the
process making you both more confident and happy, and easing
the way for your dog to become a more integral member of your
family.
Like children, dogs are eager to learn. In fact, they will learn
something every time you interact with them --- even when you are
not trying to teach them anything! Problems often arise when
commands are issued in stressful or distracting situations when
the dog is less likely to comply, or when commands are issued in
casual situations where strict compliance is not likely to be
enforced. Proper instruction makes it easier to avoid these
common pitfalls.
Dogs learn differently than people. They do not learn concepts of
“right” and “wrong.” Generally, if an action produces a pleasant
response, that action will be repeated. If an action produces an
unpleasant response, it will tend to be avoided.
All About Dogs and More offers two types of training, both in the
convenience of your home and at times best suited for your
schedule:
One hour home visitation with family members and trainer Price =
$100

Learn why your dog is acting the way he or she is
- Learn how to avoid specific behaviors
- Learn how to replace bad behaviors with good ones
- Learn how to shape your dog’s behavior

Basic obedience
- Sit/down/stay/come/heal
- Learn how to apply these to “real world” situations

Instructional visits for your dog, one-on-one with the trainer Price =
$45

-        Let the trainer do the majority of the training for you, forming a
solid foundation in your dog’s mind
-        Basic obedience or minor behavior modification issues may
be dealt with; you and the trainer decide the curriculum.
-        Periodic visits may be scheduled to discuss progress,
problems, making adjustments, etc.

Whichever option is most suitable, you and your dog will be glad
you have chosen All About Dogs and more to play a role in this
most important endeavor. To make arrangements, either call our
